Being human means having often contradictory values & beliefs. One scientist in Europe regularly posts interesting COVID studies, complaining people aren't listening. He also occasionally posts racist tweets about immigrants & mocks climate science. Another scientist I follow, who has suggested care to prevent spreading infections, just bragged he bought a huge SUV. (I checked—it gets less than 20 mpg; I hope he was hacked.) Humans can be smart and caring on one topic and a jerk on another.
