Update, all my other board members thought that using Claude to design your front end (with no previous web design experience) was a great idea and that the site we were shown looked good. (With the caveat that it would be nice if it worked for mobiles).
Is this the New Zealand reluctance to find fault? A lack of visual literacy? Sheer stupidity?
And now one of them is questioning if we should even give design/user testing/ user experience feedback because website builds is operational.

Also, this is why I'm on mastodon, so I can whine about things like this confident that almost no one else in the arts is following me (except maybe @exlibrarykris@cloudisland.nz )

@inlaing@mastodon.social I'd say it has something to do with the phenomena described here https://ludic.mataroa.blog/blog/ai-mania-is-eviscerating-global-decision-making/ But also we just have a tremendous bias towards new shiny things over old things that work. That's about 50% of overspend/failure in large IT projects in NZ. Gauld and Goldfinch continue to be relevant https://oup.nz/library/dangerous-enthusiasms/
