What is the proper term for constructing a new function of lower arity in the lambda calculus that is a partial application of a higher arity function:

@rk@mastodon.well.com I think these toings would be way more successful if they had a fun, easy to remember name that is loosely related to what they do, instead of greek letters and the name of whoever invented it the second time it was invented. Why is it not simply called paramfixxing?
