I visited a few well known towns in NH and VT this weekend. I need a bit of time to digest this, but things looked pretty bleak.

So many businesses closed. Restaurants left as they were on their last day open. Not just in the old downtown areas. Everywhere we looked. I haven't been to these places in years. Compared to what things were like the last time, it made me sad.
