@plinth@infosec.exchange My wife has celiac disease, and just in the 15+ years we've been together, the availability of gluten free food has improved by orders of magnitude here in central Europe... Shops and restaurants are much more aware of it now.
We've had our son tested twice for sure and fortunately both tests were negative.

@wat@mstdn.social the prevelance of celiac in Down syndrome is way higher than the general population. I attended a talk given by a doctor who specializes in patients with DS targeted towards doctors and they listed a schedule of tests that aren't typically done in the GP and celiac was one that came up positive.
