software is like mayonnaise: - weird emulsion that is greater than the sum of its parts. - breaks if you hold it wrong. - homemade tastes better but it doesn't last as long. - store bought has a bunch of extra stuff that has no business being in the sauce. - there are ethical concerns. - the ick.
