Hi friends I have been mithering about the vocal quality on some of my Tina Christian tracks for the forthcoming album because I want to get it right and have everything sounding as good as it possibly can. However, I have just been listening to some of the new releases, and I have noticed something, especially regarding vocal recordings. Some of them are absolutely dreadful. I wouldn't have let them out of the studio, let alone uploaded to streaming platforms and Taking people's money. I don't know if it's just a trend with modern music or whether sound engineers are just getting really shit and relying too much on what their screens say rather than what their ears are telling them. The vocal quality on the vast majority of my Tina tracks Sounds far better to me. Ok, rant over.

  • @darrenhartland@caneandable.social Modrn pop sounds like absolute shit, all of it. With dance music, doing odd things to vocals has really become a big thing, and that experientation is leading to variable quality. With rock, I hate how dark most modern production is. The only band I've heard experiment lately and liked it is Temples
