When you read or watch a mystery, how often are you able to solve it before the answer is revealed? I rarely watch film/video but TV is pretty easy. The least likely background character at the beginning of the story will be the perp a lot of the time. Particularly if they keep showing up to be overlooked. Tougher is catching the little visual cues for the car that's going to explode at the end of the scene. Watching the camera translate the story into pictures can keep me watching to see how it might use the technique in text. Reading? Sometimes but I don't read mystery that much. I have too much else to read :D #ScribesAndMakers

@nlowell@indieauthors.social My wife and I used to watch Law and Order type shows together. Our rule was that the most famous guest star was the killer. We were right 90% of the time.
