Picking a power plant is always a pick of the "lesser evil" and we should never forget "use less electeicity" is very valid and we should be smart about our ressources.
but there is NO power plant that is co2-neutral, takes up no space, produces no waste, costs nothing, etc. We gotta pick the "least worst".
And solar/wind are dirt cheap, need no fuel, can be recycled 100 %z produce no waste and take up very little land.
... compared to many alternatives.
e. g. hydro power needs huuge space

Yes, nuclear waste is bad. Yes, coal plant waste is bad. Yes, recycling a wind turbine is mildly annoying. but we gotta pick the least worst option. Coal dust and the other exhaust products are a lot worse than the mildly radioactive stuff that stays toxic for millions of years. But yes nuclear waste us bad but not *that* bad as the fossil fuel lobby depicts
