Think how the budget airlines do it. They show their best price FIRST. Then add to it with extras. Railways do it the wrong way round. They show their most expensive price first, & expect you to whittle it down with research into railcards & hidden deals. If you don’t give up and drive at stage 1!

@seatsixtyone.bsky.social In the UK the cost of rail travel, even with discounts is still high. A car with 4 or 5 people will be far less expensive than 4 or 5 rail tickets. With an EV it's even less expensive.
