Downside: Sicilians are also more susceptible to Sickle Cell trait, a super Black disease, than other Europeans. Sorry!

@mekkaokereke@hachyderm.io in the biggest possible picture, 100% of my DNA is African. But I get why we like to know things more closely relevant in time, we are a curious species. I've been told that my red blood cells are misshapen, but not sickle cell. I wonder if there's some kind of correlation there. But, given the state of the medical system in the US, it's difficult enough to find doctors at all.
