Small, portable, easily recharged, simple to operate. (Trust me: when I'm getting going, I don't have a lot of attention left to spare for device operation!)

Yes, easy buttons in an ergonomic grip are essential. They just need to be stiff enough you don’t press them accidentally.

I’d add a bit flexible / soft to your list of requirements … I never got on with the harshness of the bullet type vibes
