The TV is always on at my parents' house. I spend a lot of time in the other room, when I visit. I have to or I'll chew my own arm off trying to escape. I have books. I'll be fine.

@rjblaskiewicz@mstdn.social It was always the same at my parents' place. And my mother's hearing is going so over the years the volume crept up. Drove me crazy.

@rjblaskiewicz@mstdn.social a lot of tvs have phone app remote controls too, so if you cant get their temote, you can still lessen the assault on yourself.
