I'm pretty sure most popular leaders has never been raised by abusive family to have the heart of seeing their subordinates fear or hurted by them.
Idk, maybe raising your child that way is good? Idk. The trauma they have grown them into better person.

It may be masochistic but I love the trauma I got. At least in a way, craving for pain = craving for bad experience to have others not experiencing the same.
