thinking about how I now find it almost impossible to find information about a lot of topics online search engines are shit, google has gotten so bad it's not even funny, marginalia sometimes works but doesn't have a big enough index yet sometimes google will give you something usable if you swap to AI mode, but that's wrong half the time too so you're gambling for a link to a useful source it feels like a skill I took my whole life to develop suddenly lost all value because the tools I relied on have rapidly degraded over the past few years
