In my garage is a box that has survived three moves, going back to 2007
It is filled with several years worth of Games Magazine, a thing I subscribed to and loved for decades. I don't know how old the oldest one is, but the top issue is March 2005
Can someone please explain to me why my spouse bristles at the thought of throwing them away?

@kims@mas.to Because History? With the amount of AI slop kicking around something printed before 2023 will be the only source of reliable history.

@kims@mas.to he may think they're worth something, check some of the issues on eBay for SOLD items, not for ACTIVE items -- ACTIVE items are the ones that didn't sell!!! i'm finding old magazines are worth very little because the older issues are scanned online somewhere but if it makes him feel better, there is no harm in checking out their current value before using them to line the bird cage... but i'm finding most magazines are not worth the space they take up
