@pndc@social.treehouse.systems I have commits to two languages’ core, linux kernel, and 50 OSS libs approx. I maintain 10+ libraries on my own. I was paid for both COBOL and Idris.
That said, I disagree with “Using an LLM is coding, just in an imprecise language that takes more effort to describe the desired results” in general.
Sometimes, yes. Sometimes, no.

@mudasobwa@mastodon.social There is this nuance with all these nerds. They may be convinced only by data from reality, and almost never by words. Sidenote: it makes them good lab-coats. The best and may be only way is to show inputs to chatbot, whole story, outputs, and then link to were this code in public OSS project. Precise lines/files.
