@thetonearm@social.lol Mozart and Beethoven both would play some extended cadenza in performance, like a Keith Jarrett, then later write out the good parts to sell to their publisher so centuries later folk could worship every printed note as divine, whereas any true 'divinty' was in that prior moment of improvisation.
