@beadsland@beige.party I remember the trolls and sea lions in 2021 and 2022 saying, "Well if Long Covid is so prevalent, why aren't we seeing this big shift in the disability data? Shouldn't that be a thing?" and being told it was too early to see the trend in the data. Sigh. And grrr.

@Robotistry@fediscience.org As happened after the 2008 recession, there was a big shift, downward, initially. After which, there was a ramp up. It just happens that this time round the ramp up was more severe and has not, as of yet, leveled off. https://beige.party/@beadsland/116871742758919797 Also, notably, the shift downward didn't last quite so long as the time previous. That said, the history of this data does appear to be limited, so there's not much we can say about that other than go "Hmm".
