@miranda_blue@eldritch.cafe Not many people know that there were Emacs brand wands too. They went bankrupt because you needed at least two hands to push the various button combinations.

@scy@chaos.social @miranda_blue@eldritch.cafe yeah the brand name was escape-meta-alt-control-sex. Some models *had* to be used with a partner because the key combinations to access key functions were so spread out using them with only two hands was impossible. It was framed as some kind of techbro consent enforcement mechanism because the person you're using it on has to hold the escape key down or something, but made them impossible to use solo which led to sales tanking.
