@kdkorte@fosstodon.org I don't know. Could you have morals and turn on a dime? In The Captive Mind, the writer, Czesław Miłosz, is flabbergasted thae even people he know so quickly embraced Stalinism as the new religion, so to speak.
We seem to be watching a parallel episode now, in more ways than one.

@AAKL@infosec.exchange True, that's a problem with morals. If your moral system is built around "doing exactly what is best for my offspring," you might appear to be turning on a dime from a more Brian Ellis point of view, all the while someone inspired by Nietzsche might consider you just small and simple-minded.
