@mox@social.4572.fyi I only really experiment with older XNU. Newer XNU is way harder because of Apple Silicon security, arm64e, many more dependencies, the kernel is way bigger, etc. Older XNU has basically none of that and is way easier to hack on... especially when you can build the kernel on an M4 in under 20 or so seconds... ;3

    @mrmasterkeyboard@mastodon.social Oh I only built for x86_64, I was using an Intel MacBook Pro on Sonoma. I've thought about doing some stuff(mostly moving my home folder, on my old laptop I had made a firmlink in /usr so I could have my home be /usr/mox but that breaks the seal on the ROSV) on my new laptop, but I really don't want to disable SIP because I run a few iOS apps, and on Apple Silicon you can't run FairPlay encrypted iOS apps without SIP.
