I don’t know that I have very specific recommendations right now :(
I do actually own a pair of whitins. They’re pretty cheap on Amazon and have been holding up fairly well, but I’ve only had them 6 months. They’re also very comfortable for my feet.
The only whiff of caution I would offer is that a lot of shoe makers in the barefoot arena tend to be newer companies and seem to be working out kinks. For example, I like the look of Groundies, but the two pairs I had both had the same sole and it cracked after a year of everyday use. The uppers were still holding up great.

Oh, that’s alright, but thank you for the heads up! Yes, I’ve also seen a bunch of new brands that I’ve never seen before so I’ve been wary. Like Groundies, Saguaro,… The only ones I can think of at the moment because it’s past my bed time, haha. I think I’ll be happy to wait a little longer to see how these new brands still hold up in another year or so.
