i assume meshcore is now the way to go. and thanks to @meshy@mstdn.social also able to use it entirely with free software 🙏

@stereo@freiburg.social thanks for mentioning the license of meshcore btw. I didn't know the official apps would need to be bought, which I can't do since I don't have an google or apple account. I'll probably re-flash to meshcore in the future to get some experience with that. The network model sounds more "sane", although meshtastic seems easier to set up for things like festivals where I'd would want my friends and I to communicate and get gps signals.
