@ascentale@sfba.social @rasterweb@mastodon.social @bikenite@fedigroups.social Sandpaper on the PADS can be an interim measure if the pads are badly glazed, but rotor problems are wear (sandpaper would make it worse), bent (sandpaper would make it worse), contaminated with oil etc. (sandpaper would make it worse by spreading the contaminant around), loose (sandpaper would do nothing), or not aligned with caliper (sandpaper can't help here). Which sorta negatively suggests: Replace worn parts Clean rotor and pads Align components Torque correctly Bed new pads in correctly
