I don’t want the one on the street taking my drugs, either.

What if the airport dog recognise you as their trainer?

  • I had a layover in Reno a little while ago and there were a bunch of dogs deployed around just for people to pet and enjoy their company, after I met one his trainer gave me a little trading card with a picture of the dog and a short bio. Improved my day immensely

  • That’s why I prefer cats. Cats don’t snitch

Storytime, On my very first time flying I was 18, flew alone from Europe to SE Asia and sat at the airport with hours to spare to make sure I really didn’t miss my flight. Police walk up, one stays away with a dog, the other comes to me. They ask whether I want to participate in their end of shift routine. The dog is super friendly and wagging, the police officers are super chill. They explain that their dog gets to find one positive package a day at least, otherwise he’ll be sad. They ask whether they can stuff it in my bag. I’m a bit hesitant but this was still in my home country, not anywhere near a protest, so usually police are very professional. They hid their package in my backpack. The dog had a blast finding it and got totally excited. I git to participate in the good boy routine of the day 🙂

The vast majority of dogs I see at the airport aren’t drug/police dogs.
