🧵 At the #Pride parade in #Carlow #Ireland today. It had me thinking about a recent article on the #Prideparade in #TelAvi and how it was canceled since the illegal invasion of #Gaza. Tal Salin Aicha, a 31-year-old tattoo artist, shared, “I don’t believe the LGBTQ community here enjoys all the freedoms people assume we have in Israel—we can’t even get married.” Aicha added, “There’s still so much to fight for. Many young people are suffering, with slurs like ‘homo’ used as insults, and they’re targeted just for being themselves. 2)
