I kinda autopilot sharing stuff to Threads. I haven't really ever enjoyed using it, but I popped back in to check a few notifications today, and it's such a wasteland. The Facebook algorithm knows I'm a "nerd' and that I produce videos about gadgets, but the ENTIRE FEED they set up was basically the lowest effort engagement or rage bait. Just a never ending list of: "Should I switch to an Android?" "Is this the year I leave and get an iPhone." "Imagine meeting someone in 2026 and they use an ANDROID?!?!" "DAE feel the keyboard on iphone sucks now?" Just over and over and over, with the occasional sprinkling of an actual post from someone I really know. I shouldn't be surprised. It's FB's MO to make people miserable and angry, which for SOME REASON keeps them doom-scrolling social media longer. They actually ran the science on that. I guess I'm just continuously disappointed in how well it works.
