My mother was thrilled to see me go, and let him move me to a whole other side of the country. (I'd just come back from convent boarding school where I'd graduated with the equiv of AS degree) It wasn't until he took me to a party at Texas Instruments, when the wife of someone in the csuite was very concerned, and she is how I ended up with a scholarship to go live and be educated at an all women's university. A kindness for which I will be eternally grateful, and why I help fund a scholarship at TWU.
