Canada's forests cover approximately 369 million hectares, accounting for about 34% to 40% of the nation's total land area, and nearly 9% of the world's total forests.
That's about 60 million more hectares of forest than the US. About the size of Texas.
Meanwhile the US population is 8+ times larger than Canada’s, and it has the world's largest economy. If American politicians want wildfire risk reduced in Canada, they can send us billions of dollars, like they do Israel.
