thought experiment: i think what m-model chips apple is going to announce this fall will have a bigger impact than whatever the latest model updates were ofc, this relies on the assumption that data centers are gonna have a harder time scaling outside the main hubs in the us, and/or increase pricing; also the whole legal and sovereignty aspects are getting more important a lot more stuff should and could be run locally or in small corporate clusters with open weight models
