Option 1: Don't buy LG Option 2: Don't buy LG displays, especially if you are running Windows At this point, I don't know what the experience is on newer LG TVs where you do not connect it to the Internet via any means (wireless or wired). I have C1 OLED where it's never been on the Internet since being unboxed at home. There are no nags when trying to use basic functionality such as switching between inputs and channels. @qlp@linh.social I have 2 C1 panels. They tricked me into updating one so it's offline now. (I really did feel tricked. I dismissed the menu option that appears at every startup and l tried to use the TV normally but the buttons were doing different things than what it showed because of lag - and then it just updated itself) My other TV has not been upgraded yet but i know if it was new they would absolutely force the right to spy on what I'm viewing to sell that data to advertisers or whatever they think it's for
