Trump's speech yesterday made it pretty clear that he's going to interfere with the midterm elections: seize and spoil ballots (particularly from blue states), station armed ICE goons at critical polling places, pressure states to ignore mail-in ballots, maybe stage some shootings at polling places, perhaps cancel the midterms altogether. So what happens when he does any of those things? Probably lawsuits, but that will take years and the damage will already be done. Democratic leaders will clutch their pearls and fundraise harder; AOC will blog about it and tour in a million-dollar dress with "FAIR ELECTIONS" painted across her ass. The media will either/or it and refuse to draw conclusions, except for FOX News and CBS who will probably ignore the whole issue beyond repeating Trump's talking points verbatim. But what will the people do? The usual protesters will protest, as usual. And they'll be completely ignored in blue states, arrested, beaten, or murdered by the police in red states—again, as usual.
