I have been planning to build this as a split, but I keep thinking I should simplify and try building a unibody first... Well, I just tried to layout the wiring for that and uh... Nope. Fitting all 42 keys on one controller would require combining columns to fit everything. The result would be a lot of crossed wires. Not worth it. Two controllers simplifies everything dramatically.
