riiight. Unless you’re a midianite. Or someone calls you Amalek, then all bets are off isnt that accurate to say? All the descendents of amalak must be killed, regardless of their innocence. Every religion has their enemy laid out in scripture; It’s important to see that even if there are “enemies” defined in a religious movement, that all of those people still have the option of living the pacifist variant of their religion. I personally am an atheist, but i am able to see that there are many religious movements out there that substantially improve the life of people. I - sadly - recognize that the moment you mix religion with nationalism you achieve a mindset where everything that isn’t according to the most hardline shit in your scripture becomes heresy. I simply postulate that theologians free of nationalist impulses tend to be a much more positive influence on society.
