@Random_Seed@bitbang.social @n_dimension@infosec.exchange This has been tested, and the dwell time of any given particle within the confines of the box is so short that UV doesn't have really have enough time to make much difference, making it hard to justify the cost. Plus, it still comes with the same side effect risks as always: skin exposure if not careful, potential negative interactions with airborne VOCs like cleaners, mild to moderate generation of ozone depending on the power and type of UV source, etc.
