this little laptop only has 4 gig of memory, which is a bit sad. So that rules out KDE Plasma. I find XFCE always feels a little odd, not sure why. However I know it's very customisable so perhaps I can set up the menus and such to suit my taste. 4Gig is really a bit tragic, it's almost getting to the point of being unusable for web browsing. That's fine. have to get my head around using sh instead of bash too.
