@buffyleigh@mas.to Yes, the panels I put up as needed, take off to open the windows at night or on cooler days when I want the sun. I originally tried stick-on Velcro fasteners to attach to the frame, but those fell apart in the heat & sunlight. I've found that just tucking the insulation tight inside the window frame works for me, with blinds closed behind it or a little cardboard if need be.
But you would need something sturdier to create a panel for the door. Unless you have a curtain rod you could hang the insulation from? (It's very lightweight.)
Shade on the outside would be great & a pergola sounds much more elegant, but you'd definitely need sturdier building materials!
