@glyph@mastodon.social I mean, I appreciate their inner turmoil, but at the end of the day, negative consequences are negative consequences. The deleterious effects on society and my own life happen regardless of whether or not very well-paid computer programmers are sad about their jobs.

@theorangetheme@en.osm.town personally, I appreciate such folks' inner turmoil because they are my friends or indeed sometimes me, but you needn't do that in order to appreciate this insight. the point is not to *coddle* the good people who are trapped by these structures on the inside, the point is to *free* those people to make the organizations *do good on the outside*
