Unless biology, poverty, history, another person's freedom neglects to consult your vision board.
"Purpose cures romantic obsession"
Tell that to every emperor, poet, scientist & genius who spent decades accomplishing history while still making catastrophically foolish decisions over one particular person.
"Develop a strong opinion of yourself"
Excellent advice... if your ambition is to become impossible to correct.

"If you want it you can have it" History is largely the story of people passionately wanting things reality already declined. The self-help aphorism is a peculiar form of optimism. It cannot tolerate randomness, limitation or tragedy, so it edits them out.
