@vale@fedi.vale.rocks I am curious tho what exactly is being mishandled? What usecases make things worse? Like I have some ideas but I am a ablebodied privileged white guy so what do I know.

@nihilistic_capybara@layer8.space I’m not even quite sure where to begin. A lot of it is people mistakenly believing that AI knows how humans experience the world. Every LLM I’ve tested has peppered work with unnecessary ARIA attributes and fundamentally misunderstood computer-access technologies. There is also general AI induced laziness/complacency, with people using flawed AI output in place of quality work done right. For example, people too lazy to write contextual alt-text, so they just use whatever irrelevant dribble an LLM chucks out. I won’t go further into it, or get into individual or specific cases, as I’d be here for the rest of the decade and would barely get down more than a few strokes of the picture.
