@xan@xantronix.social @dalias@hachyderm.io kicking stuff out of kernel space seems like it should be table stacks irrespective of slop. kinda embarrassing that apple and microsoft are ahead of the curve against the open source OSes here freebsd has their linux kernel-level compatibility interface KPI which they've been using to steal new hardware drivers from linux. maybe that could be the start of an intentional portable driver interface
