Bear inond the possibility that she lives paycheck to paycheck and could be fired for offending the wrong customer, i.e. for acknowledging trans people exist. Don’t expect wage slaves to fight for you.

I don’t expect wage slaves to fight for me. Though I have a hard time imagining that someone would get fired over gendering a trans person correctly, and I don’t think expecting someone to use the right pronouns in a customer service environment is unreasonable. Regardless, the woman in question was another customer making an unsolicited comment, not an employee.
