the network is both 2.4g and 5g
on windows, this fucking laptop prefers 2.4 no matter the settings
I booted linux mint, it picked up 5g with no problems with good speeds
I tried different driver versions (one from 2022 where people said it worked, current from windows update, and latest)
no changes
man. why.

@Houl@wetdry.world wasn't there something about going into the device manager and editing the driver options for the wifi to disable 2.4GHz?
