Nothing is ever simple. This morning, we opened up our porch doors to let delivery men have easy access…. Then discovered that they wouldn’t close again. Hubby went to his laptop to look up the phone number of the company who fitted the doors, to arrange a repair, and his laptop promptly failed. It’s working now, but is probably a sign that he should start looking for a replacement. The item delivered - a dryer (the old one was 14 & no longer efficient) fits well in the small space available , but our existing drainage pipe isn’t wide enough to accommodate both washer & dryer hoses, so a plumber is required to widen it (there is a drainage tray, but the hose will be more practical). And we need to buy a vent cover, as our vent is now redundant & I don’t like open holes in the wall, which would let spiders in. I am grateful that it wasn’t a lot worse, & it keeps life interesting. Tomorrow I will be clothes shopping, which I hate! Lucky me.
