You clearly didn’t read what I wrote with enough attention to detail. I did not argue that the bit of text didn’t have the information, but that it was encoded only in pronouns and not subject of the post. And encoding gender in pronouns does not work in German. If you had used the correct translation for student which is Student it would have been less clear. Coed (Student with female pronouns) is the word for Studentin. You wouldn’t translate Bäckerin as bakress, I sincerely hope.
