As a bonus, this was already the right way to fix Linux's shit architecture making drivers into unbounded bug/vuln/instability surface. But in the context of slop and move-fast-break-things shit, it enables you to keep running a stable OS without losing access to new drivers or having to manually backport them to your preferred LTS version.

    Note that this doesn't necessarily save you from slopcoded drivers. But it does: 1. Allow you to use a trusted core kernel independent of what drivers you need, instead of getting locked into forced upgrades. 2. Allow you to choose your hardware around what presently has slop-free drivers, vs what already had drivers in 2024.
