It hurts to hear people talk about rewind in such a light and especially in this super stressful time where I'm working basically nonstop to move out of the building with little more than a group of immediate friends and rewind members. It feels hard to respect and honour the history of the space while packing it down when there's no one around who has been a part of the space longer than I have. I don't want to misconstrue that I hold it against people for not showing up, but it does make me sad to still feel like all of the "animal house" era folks couldn't imagine showing up alongside the "rewind" folks. I'm just really tired and definitely burning out. We tried really hard to make the space survive into the future and ultimately we're being kicked out by the decision of one random guy we don't even know anyway. I'm feeling pretty nervous about being at the gig on the 26th and the sort of sentiment people will have, I'm feeling very tender and a lot of loss as everyone is. end of rant.
