Tips for handy 32-bit Intel rescue USB images

2026-07-16 13:25 UTC

I know how to Google, and already know Debian still do 32-bit. Decided to put this here just to inspire discussion and such :) I promised to take a look at friend’s daily driver, a 2006 Thinkpad T-series on Linux, that’s finally developed some problems. Plan is to boot up with some usb stick, image the drive with dd and then see if I can fix the thing. Realised after promising that it’s probably not 64-bit, so I need a 32-bit system on the stick. Debian installer stick will work, but does anyone know of a ‘proper’ rescue system that is available in 32-bit?
