#IRGC. One of the dying acts of the UK's hated #Starmer regime was to ban Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). It was unclear whether a state entity could be banned, but in April the National Security (State Threats) Act removed doubt. This will also allow a UK ban on the so-called Israel Defense Forces (#IDF). Starmer and Burnham will not ban the IDF. But now a future #UKgov has the power to do so. The UK's v powerful #Israel lobby may bitterly regret this short-term win. #ukpol
